FIRE DANGER "VERY HIGH"
Friday, July 14th, 2006 -- 2:32 PM
Saying fire danger in the area is ?high? or ?very high?, the DNR has suspended annual and regular burning permits in the Wisconsin Rapids and Black River Falls fire protection areas. The areas including all of Adams and parts of Wood, Juneau, Monroe, Jackson, Clark, Eau Claire and Chippewa counties.
Forestry leaders say the ban will likely remain in place until soaking rain arrive in the area to relieve the drought-like conditions.
