Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 -- 10:00 AM
(Bob Hague, WRN) A new judge has been assigned to the Chippewa County case of a 14-year-old boy charged in the death of Lily Peters.
According to online court records the substitute judge was requested by the boy’s attorney and approved last week. State statute allows a defendant to request one judicial substitution.
The youth faces charges including 1st-degree intentional homicide and 1st-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 in the April death of 10-year-old Lily Peters in Chippewa Falls.
He remains at the Northwest Regional Juvenile Detention Center on one million dollars cash bail. A scheduling conference is to take place on Thursday.
