According to Marshfield Clinic Health System, Cheyanne Dobozenski was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia days before turning 11.
After more than two years of treatment, she was contacted by Make-A-Wish Foundation to determine what she would like to do with her wish. Cheyanne decided she didn't want anything for herself. She wanted to give back to other children.
With the help of her parents and Make-A-Wish, they put together approximately 150 backpacks filled with diversionary activities, like Pop It Fidget toys, coloring books and candy, which help patients who have an aversion to hospital smells or the taste of medications.
