Neillsville School Board Hears Projects Update

The Neillsville School Board heard a projects update from a CESA 10 Representative and Building and Grounds Director.

The Board also approved the bid from SVL for HVAC equipment in the amount of $154,710, which includes the additional warranty, as presented. The Board also approved:

  • The food service K5-12 breakfast meal price in the amount of $1.50;
  • K5-12 reduced breakfast meal price in the amount of $0.30;
  • Adult breakfast meal price in the amount of $2.25;
  • K5-5th lunch meal price in the amount of $3.00;
  • Middle and high school lunch meal price in the amount of $3.50;
  • K5-12 reduced lunch meal price in the amount of $0.40;
  • Adult lunch meal price in the amount of $4.25;
  • And the milk price in the amount of $0.40 for the 2022- 2023 school year as presented.

The Board also approved the foreign exchange student from Brazil, approved the foreign exchange student from France, and approved the early graduation request by KJ as presented.

The Board also approved the out of state field trip to the Dorian Vocal Festival in Decorah, Iowa on January 10th-12th, 2023, as presented, approved the out of state field trip for the music department to St. Paul, MN on December 10th, 2022, as presented, and approved the donation of school supplies from Jim Kramer as presented.

The Board also approved the welcome back to school packet donation from the Clark County Health Department as presented and approved the monetary donation towards the holiday light project by the class of 1952 as presented.

In employment matters, the Board approved the hiring of:

  • Tucker Bethea as a teaching assistant,
  • Kathy Luchterhand for the assistant cross county coaching position,
  • Paul Ziebell for the middle school track coach,
  • And Kathy Luchterhand for the middle school student council co-advisor position as presented.

The Board also approved the initial adoption of policy KGD as presented. The Board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on:

  • August updates;
  • Attendance;
  • The start of the school year;
  • PBIS;
  • Warrior of the Week;
  • Picture day;
  • Reading instruction;
  • Typing instruction;
  • And a thank you.

Middle School Principal Kory Poeschel reported on:

  • Attendance;
  • Beginning of the school year;
  • New staff members;
  • Building improvements;
  • Climate/culture continuation;
  • Fall sports;
  • Club’s Choice chorus fundraiser;
  • And picture retake day.

High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on:

  • Attendance;

  • High school student council blood drive;
  • Highground Education Days;
  • Testing updates;
  • CTE meeting with CESA staff;
