Marshfield Planning Commission to Review Proposal for New Slim Chickens Fast-Food Restaurant

(Melissa Siegler, Marshfield News-Herald) A new fast-food restaurant could soon go up along North Central Avenue.

GMX Real Estate Group has proposed constructing a Slim Chickens fast-food restaurant on North Central Avenue and North Peach Avenue, near Starbucks, according to city documents.

GMX has requested a conditional use permit to construct a restaurant and outdoor patio with a drive-thru and parking, the documents said. The restaurant features classics such as chicken tenders, chicken wings, sandwiches, salads, chicken and waffles and more.

According to the business's website, this would be the first location in Wisconsin. The company has more than 150 locations with four restaurants in Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois. The Marshfield Plan Commission will consider the conditional use permit at its Tuesday's meeting beginning at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
