Eau Claire County Sheriff Passes Away Unexpectedly

(Bob Hague, WRN) Eau Claire County Sheriff Ron Cramer has died unexpectedly.

In a statement confirming his death, the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Office said Cramer “truly loved his work and it showed in his passion for helping the people of Eau Claire County.”

Cramer has been with the sheriff's office since 1975. He was elected sheriff in 1996 and was set to retire next January, after 48 years of service.
