(Raymond Neupert, WRN) The latest Marquette Poll now indicates a very close US Senate race in Wisconsin.
The latest Marquette Poll now indicates a very close US Senate race in Wisconsin. Incumbent Republican Ron Johnson has made up a 7-point deficit from the August poll to lead Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes by a single point. Poll director Charles Franklin has an explanation.
"Lieutenant Governor Barnes faced very little criticism during the Democratic primary, there weren't attack ads out from his primary opponents."
The latest Marquette Poll has Democratic Governor Tony Evers maintaining a narrow lead over Republican challenger Tim Michels. Poll director Charles Franklin says that a 3-point difference is within the margin of error.
"Last time with registered voters, that was a two-point lead, but with likely voters in August, it was a four-point lead. So it's actually a very slight tightening from a four-point with likely to a three-point with likely."
