UW Health Nurses Agree Not to Strike, May be Able to Join Union

(Bob Hague, WRN) A walkout has been averted, and UW Health nurses may be able to unionize.
Governor Tony Evers brought the two sides together over the weekend. The agreement averts a strike UW Health Nurses had planned for Tuesday through Thursday of this week.
It also calls for no additional strikes as the nurses and UW Health Management continue to meet about various labor concerns. The State Employment Relations Commission is expected to rule soon on whether UW Health can recognize and bargain with SEIU Healthcare Wisconsin.
