Tomah Man Sentenced for Possession of Child Pornography

A Tomah man was sentenced for possession of child pornography.

According to the Tomah Police Department, on August 17th of last year, they recieved a tip about an individual downloading child pornography.  It was determined the downloading was occuring at 326 James Street. Authorities discovered that 36-year-old Aaron Byers was downloading the material.

Byers was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, three counts of possession of child pornography. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 39 months in prison and 81 months of extended supervision.
