BODY OF RAPIDS MAN FOUND

The body of a 19-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man missing since a 4th of July boating accident was found Wednesday evening.The body of Zachary Badker was pulled from the Wisconsin River by searchers less than 40 yards downriver from where the boat he was on sank.
There were eight people on-board when the accident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. Some of the passengers were helped to shore by other boaters in the area, who also searched for the area for other victims.
The passengers on the boat, who included Badker's 1 1/2-year-old son, have not been identified.
The DNR is investigating the accident and has impounded the boat. Officials believe the boat, which they believed to be about 30 years old, was overloaded with eight people. The driver was cited by the DNR. At least some of the people on the boat were believed to have been drinking.
