CUT THE COUNTY BOARD
Wednesday, July 5th, 2006 -- 12:56 PM
As we?ve reported, Clark County?s Executive Committee is taking seriously a request from a county resident to reduce the Board's size. The Board is currently comprised of 29 supervisors, but Peter Hellios of Granton told the Committee he thought the County would be more efficiently served by fewer supervisors.
Wednesday morning, the Executive Committee directed the Clark County Planning and Zoning Department to develop maps showing what changes to the county?s supervisory districts might look like if the Board were to cut its size.
The Department has been directed to make a presentation during the July 13th Board meeting.
There will not be a resolution before the Board at that meeting.
