Semi Hits Cow Near Tomah

A semi hit a cow near Tomah Saturday night.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, around 11:24pm Saturday night, they received a call of a crash involving a semi on I-94 eastbound near the interchange with I-90. The truck ended up in the median after hitting the cow that was on the roadway. Traffic was backed up and a second crash occurred in the traffic backup. The accidents caused traffic backups and lane closures into Sunday morning.

One person was hurt in the crash, according to the State Patrol. Assisting the State Patrol were the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Tomah Police Department, Juneau County Highway Department, Tomah Area Ambulance Service and Oakdale Fire Department.
