(Capital City Sunday) The Wisconsin Elections Commission is asking lawmakers and the governor to create a new Inspector General position.
Meagan Wolfe is the administrator of the Wisconsin Elections Commission. She spoke with Capital City Sunday, "Somebody that understand how to research things. How to find answers to questions and how to utilize expertise about elections. And also understands how to communicate complex subject matter to the public."
Wolfe is asking for one-point-three million dollars to staff a ten-person Inspector General’s office over the next two years. Wolfe says they would improve the commission's ability to handle data requests, allegations of election law violations, and increase the number of audits.
