Black River Falls Man Sentenced for 7th OWI

A Black River Falls man arrested for his 7th OWI was sentenced in Jackson County Court.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, back in December of last year, a trooper stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 54 at I-94 near Black River Falls. Lawrence Waube was arrested after troopers conducted field sobriety tests.

Waube was later released into the custody of the Jackson County Jail. Waube was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, 7th operating with a PAC. Another charge was dismissed on the court’s motion and two other charges were dismissed and read in.

He was sentenced to three years in prison and three years extended supervision.
