Cadott Dollar General Reopens

The Cadott Dollar General has been reopened.

The Cadott Fire Department had closed the Dollar General due to excessive amounts of overstock items in the isles and in their shipping/receiving area. This overstock posed a safety risk to employees and customers alike by limiting navigation around the store, as well as for the potential fair causing injuries and preventing staff and customers from exiting the store safely in an emergency situation.

After the closure, Dollar General management received reports that customers were threatening staff and property due to the store being closed. The Department reminded shoppers that threats of property destruction and personal injury are not tolerated and are subject to arrest and fines.

The store was reopened on Wednesday.
