BIG ECONOMIC NEWS FOR NEILLSVILLE AREA

Monday, July 3rd, 2006 -- 9:13 AM

Press Release from OEM Fabricators Inc.:

OEM Fabricators, Inc. of Woodville, Wis., a $25 million company celebrating its 20th year, has plans to expand its operations to Neillsville, Wis.

?The proposed plant would be an expansion of OEM?s current operations,? said S. Mark Tyler, president and CEO of OEM Fabricators. ?The Woodville facility is at full capacity, and we are very excited about the prospect of expanding our operations to central Wisconsin.?

Preliminary plans call for a facility of nearly 50,000 square feet used to build major components for original equipment manufacturers. Manufacturing space will incorporate maximum natural light and will be fully air-conditioned. Processes performed in the new facility would include fabricating, welding, machining, finishing and assembly. OEM utilizes Miller Electric advanced Axcess welding technology, which eliminates 75 percent of welding smoke, improving welder comfort and safety. Support functions such as quality, engineering, purchasing, human resources and customer service will be performed locally as well.

The proposed project represents an initial investment of nearly $9 million dollars for construction, equipment, working capital and team member training. OEM Fabricators has made application to the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, Wisconsin Business Development Finance Corporation, West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, and the city of Neillsville for assistance with the construction of the new facility. It has also secured a commitment from its lead bank, the First National Bank of Hudson. Assuming approval from state and local development officials, the company intends to begin construction of the new facility on Neillsville?s east side as soon as possible.

OEM Fabricators is a one-stop job shop that builds medium to heavy gauge components, subassemblies and turnkey products serving the needs of original equipment manufacturers. Its customer base is highly diversified both by company and by industry. Construction, railroad, energy exploration, road building, agriculture and pharmaceuticals are just a few of the many industries that OEM Fabricators serves.

OEM Fabricators Inc. is a privately held Wisconsin corporation, and its owners and team members are actively involved in their communities. Recently OEM team members completed a Habitat for Humanity twin home in Baldwin, Wis., with the entire financial support from OEM and its business partners. In June, a team from OEM secured more than $5,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in the 27th annual MS 150 Bike Tour. Substantial financial support, board membership and volunteer hours are provided to the Family Resource Center of the St. Croix Valley, which helps educate new families with parenting skills, as well as other organizations.

?We look forward to our role in the greater Neillsville area in the same way that we are involved in central St. Croix County,? said Tyler. Recruiting for team members will be conducted by OEM Fabricators through the Clark County Job Center in Neillsville.

OEM Fabricators was founded in 1986 in Woodville and today has 200 team members, who are producing $25 million dollars in sales volume annually. ?Sales growth in recent years has topped 30 percent annually, and indications suggest continued strength in coming years,? said Mike Smith, vice president of sales.
