(Wisconsin Ag Connection) The National FFA Organization has announced that six Wisconsin students will compete as Proficiency Award finalists at this year's national convention.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, each of the students had their applications advance to national consideration after winning in the same Proficiency Award area at the state level earlier this year.
One local winning student includes Ethan Meissner of the Marshfield FFA for Agricultural Processing. Another 12 Wisconsin students had their award applications rated gold, with 16 placing at the silver level and three rated as bronze.
Meanwhile, many chapters will be honored during the convention. Some local programs being recognized as Three-Star Rated Chapters include Stanley-Boyd and Thorp. The National FFA Convention will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana this fall.
