Marshfield Man Facing Child Neglect Charges

Charges of child neglect have been requested for a Marshfield man.

According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, on Tuesday, around 5:20pm, they were contacted after a resident observed a small 2-year-old child in the street. The responding officers followed the child to a home on Broadway Avenue. After knocking on the door, a 29-year-old Marshfield man eventually came to the door.

The male had obviously been sleeping and acknowledged the fact. The male stated he was sleeping for 45 minutes. He did not seem receptive to the officer’s concerns. Charges for Child Neglect will be requested through the Wood Co DA's Office.
