Wisconsin State Patrol Vehicle Struck by Semi Near Black River Falls

A Wisconsin State Patrol Officer was struck by a semi early Wednesday morning.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident happened just after midnight on I-94 near Black River Falls. The trooper was conducting a traffic stop when a semi lost control and struck the deputy’s cruiser. The trooper sustained non-life threatening injuries. The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured.

The crash is under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The Wisconsin State Patrol wants to remind drivers that they must move over into the other lane when passing stopped emergency vehicles, and if you cannot move over you must slow down.
