Thorp Man Sentenced for Child Sexual Assault Charges

A Thorp man was sentenced in Clark County Court for child sexual assault and abuse charges.
Kyle Zacharias was charged with sexually assaulting two young boys back in November of 2020. However, it was discovered that Zacharias had sexually assaulted 8 other boys between the ages of 8 and 10 years old.
The assaults allegedly began back in 2016 and continued into late last year. The original case against Zacharias was dismissed and a new case was filed to include the new charges.
Zacharias pleaded guilty to:
- Three counts of 1st Degree Child Sex Assault - Sexual Contact with Person under Age of 13,
- 3rd Degree Sexual Assault,
- Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child (At Least 3 Violations of 1st Degree Sexual Assault),
- Child Enticement-Sexual Contact,
- Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child (At Least 3 Violations of 1st or 2nd Degree Sexual Assault),
- Attempt 1st Degree Child Sex Assault - Sexual Contact with Person under Age of 13,
- Two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child,
- And Attempt 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child.
He was sentenced to 25 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision.
