Eau Claire Woman Arrested For High Speed Chase in Jackson County

An Eau Claire woman was arrested for a high speed chase in Jackson County.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, on Wednesday, July 13th around 3:08pm, they were called to assist with traffic control at the scene of a fire on I-94 in the Township of Adams. When they arrived, they noticed an erratic driver behind them. The vehicle accelerated and passed several squad cars on the shoulder.

Authorities began a pursuit, reaching speeds of 120mph. A tire deflation device was used and the vehicle was stopped. 42-year-old Katie Carpenter was arrested. During her arrest, Carpenter wouldn’t comply with officers.
