Fairchild Man Sentenced for High Speed Chase in Jackson County

A Fairchild man arrested after a high speed chase in Jackson County back in March was sentenced in Jackson County Court.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, back in March, a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle on County Road A in the Town of Hixton. The vehicle fled the scene, but then crashed into a ditch. The driver, Robert Wilkinson, was arrested.

Wilkinson was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, vehicle operator fleeing/eluding an officer. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to one year in jail and his driver’s license was suspended for six months.
