Assembly Republicans Want ARPA Money for Pregnancy Centers

(Terry Bell, WRN) Republican state lawmakers say they want to use some of Wisconsin’s coronavirus stimulus money for pregnancy resource centers.

38 Assembly Republicans wrote a letter to Governor Evers, urging him to use ten-million dollars in American Rescue Plan funds to provide more resources to expecting mothers.

The letter says despite differences of opinion, there is now an opportunity to come together to prevent unplanned pregnancies, and to support unplanned pregnancies that occur.

Wisconsin’s abortion ban passed in 1849 became enforceable again after the 1973 Roe versus Wade decision was struck down last week.
