Wisconsin Department of Health Services Receives No Reports of COVID Deaths Over Weekend
Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 -- 8:00 AM
(Bob Hague, WRN) COVID-19 deaths in Wisconsin appear to be flattening.
The state Department of Health Services received no death reports from local health departments over the weekend. That hasn’t happened in four weeks, when the death count was adjusted downward. DHS reports the state is still averaging 3 COVID-19 deaths per day.
Last week’s total of 18 reported COVID deaths was the first time in five weeks the state had fewer than 40 deaths reported in a 7-day period. On Monday, the Wisconsin Hospital Association reported 386 people hospitalized for COVID-19, with 52 of them in intensive care.
