Missing Central Wisconsin Man Found Dead Friday

A 26-year-old Waupaca County man reported missing earlier this month has been found dead, the county’s sheriff’s office said Friday night.

Brandon Colligan, 26, had last been seen the morning of June 10 in Stevens Point. Officials said he was meeting with a friend at a coffee shop when he left to grab something he had forgotten and never returned. The friend reported Colligan had been acting strangely at the time.

Colligan’s vehicle was found in the Royalton area near a family member’s home later that day with his phone and wallet still inside. Crews searched the Little Wolf River to try to find his body.

Friday night, the sheriff’s office said in a news release he had been found dead near his home. The release did not say how Colligan may have died or whether foul play is involved.

A statewide missing person alert sent out last week indicated Colligan was known to have traveled to Madison and Milwaukee.
