Wisconsin Has First Exposure to Monkeypox Outbreak
Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 -- 3:00 PM
(Terry Bell, WRN) Wisconsin has its first exposure in the current monkeypox outbreak.
The Wisconsin Department of Public Health says someone with the virus visited Oconto County last week. Public health officials say the exposure was limited, and they’re asking people not to panic.
The monkeypox is not easily spread from person to person. Health Services says a person needs close, sustained contact with an infected person in order to catch monkeypox.
