Local Siblings Break World Record for Walking on World's Tallest Stilts

A pair of local siblings have broken the record for tallest stilts.
Saturday, at the Marshfield Fairgrounds, as a part of Marshfield’s Dairyfest, Ashley McCauley and her brother Jordan Wolf broke the record. They contacted the Guiness Book of World Records stating they were going to attempt to beat the world record of walking on the tallest stilts.
Guinness replied and preparations were under way. McCauley and Wolf had to walk 10 steps on 54 foot stilts. Stilt walking wasn’t a new experience for the siblings as the activity runs in the family.
Their father, Eddy Wolf, has been walking on stilts for over 49 years, so the family grew up on stilts. Eddy even held the record for tallest stilts walking himself throughout the years.
Another sibling, Travis, held the tallest stilts record back in 1998. Each stilt weighs 97 pounds and the siblings would get used to the height and practice by climbing silos.
They also used this opportunity to remember their late aunt who died from lung cancer five years ago. The siblings partnered with Marshfield Clinic and raised funds through sponsorships for cancer research.
Saturday morning, with two cranes high in the air, they were able to accomplish their goal and broke the record for walking on tallest stilts. First, Ashley broke the record, becoming the first woman to hold the title.
Then, her brother Jordan broke the record himself a short while later and now holds the title. The record can only be held by a single individual. The record was previously held by a man in China, but now comes home to Marshfield, Wisconsin.
