May Class III Milk Price

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) The USDA announced that the May Class III milk price was released at $25.21 per hundredweight.
That's the highest level the benchmark has reached in history, as it rose 79-cents from April and $6.25 over May 2021. The previous all-time high price was in September 2014 when it peaked at $24.60. So far, the Class III price has averaged $22.67 during 2022. Meanwhile, the Class IV component price was 32-cents lower for the month at $24.99, but was $8.83 over the previous year.
Earlier this week, Wisconsin's all milk price for April was announced at a new all-time record high of $27.10 cwt., which was $1.80 higher than last month's price, and $8.20 above April March 2021.
