'Wear Orange' to Raise Awareness of Gun Violence

(Bob Hague, WRN) As the nation grapples with gun violence, we’re being asked to Wear Orange this weekend.

Gun Violence Awareness Day, the first Friday in June, marks the start of Wear Orange Weekend. In Wisconsin, the Wear Orange website lists Forward Appleton’s vigil to honor gun violence victims and survivors at 5:00 PM on Houdini Plaza.

Dane County Wear Orange hosts a rally and march from Villager Mall to Penn Park on Madison’s South Side, beginning at 6:00 PM. Milwaukee’s drive through memorial to gun violence victims and survivors is in place Saturday and Sunday.
