Wisconsin's April Commodity Prices

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) The average price received by farmers for corn during April in Wisconsin was $6.89 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.

This was 55-cents above March and $1.74 more than April 2021. Soybean prices were 30-cents higher for the month at $15.50 per bushel. That's also $1.60 above the April 2021 price.

The price of oats averaged $5.70, about 31-cents more than March and $2.39 over last year. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $152.00 per ton in April. This was $1.00 above the March price and $3.00 higher than in 2021.

Alfalfa hay prices were $161.00, unchanged for the month, but $4.00 more for the year. The average price received for other hay was $125.00 per ton, $5.00 above the March price and $4.00 greater than a year ago.
