City of Marshfield to Start Overlay Project on Tuesday, May 31st

The City of Marshfield will be starting an overlay project on W. Arlington St., from S. Columbus Ave., to S. Lincoln Ave., the morning of Tuesday May 31, 2022.

The work performed will begin with sanitary sewer main replacement by the Street Division, water main replacement by Marshfield Utilities,  and sewer lateral and water service replacement, along with gas main and service replacement by We Energies.

Once all the underground work is completed, American Asphalt will then be scheduled to lay a new asphalt surface.  It is anticipated to allow four weeks for each contractor to complete their needed work.

During this process, W. Arlington St., will be closed to through traffic.  All contractors have been notified to maintain access for residents outside of the immediate area they are working. Expect delays at times along with access to driveways temporary closed.

Normal work hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
