Pet of the Week: Poppy
Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 -- 12:03 PM
Poppy is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by Courteous Canine in Black River Falls and Creekside Kennels south of Black River Falls.
Name: Poppy
Age: 7-Months-Old
Breed: Catahoula Mix
Poppy is this week's CCHS Pet of the Week! Poppy is a 7-month old spayed female Catahoula mix. She weighs 31# and her short-haired coat is just beautiful! Poppy is a rather special girl. She was surrendered to CCHS from a breeder when she wasn't needed any longer.
Poppy is a pretty shy girl. She will need a very patient family who can help her learn what it means to be a dog. She will do best in a calm home where there isn't too much going on to scare her. A fenced yard would also be ideal so that she can't wander off and get lost.
If you have a really big heart with lots of love to share, Poppy needs you! Apply to adopt this sweet girl today! Adoption applications can be submitted through our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/ applying-to-adopt.
CCHS is proud to be an "Empty The Shelters" participant! through this Saturday, May 14th, adoption fees will be $0.00 on all adult dogs and cats (there are some exclusions)! That does include our Pet of the Week 'Poppy'!
Regular adoption policies still apply. This event is sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation, and we are very excited to have as many pets as possible find their new furever homes!
You can learn more about, and adopt, Poppy, and all the animals at the shelter, at their website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. You can also apply for adoption in person.
