Neillsville School Board Approves May Operational Plan and Calendar

-The Neillsville School Board began their meeting by selecting the Board officials.

Sue Voigt was elected President, Dewey Poeschel was elected Vice President, Peggy Grap was elected Treasurer, and Deanna Heiman was elected as Clerk.

The Board then approved the May operational plan and calendar as presented, approved the bid for elementary handwashing sink placement by Staley Plumbing for the sum of $37,490 as presented, and approved the bid for middle school flooring replacement by Russell’s of Neillsville for the sum of $71,635.38 as presented.

The Board also approved the bid for middle school library flooring replacement by Russell’s of Neillsville for the sum of $48,008.54 as presented, approved the bus bid from Wisconsin Bus Sales for the sum of $98,745 as presented, and approved the health insurance renewal from WCA Group Health Trust as presented.

The Board also approved the Delta Dental insurance renewal as presented, approved the resolution authorizing and approving the sale of property by CESA 10, and approved the food service contract with the School District of Loyal as presented.

The Board also approved providing transportation for summer school as presented, approved the WIAA football co-op with the School District of Granton, approved the early graduation requests from three students, approved the teddy bear donation from Cummins of Neillsville as presented, and approve the monetary spirit card donation in the amount of $611.35 from Unity Bank as presented.

In employment matters, the Board approved the resignation of Janet Meredith from her food service position as presented, Paige Schmidtke from her teaching assistant position, Nicholas Kuhn from his teaching assistant position, Trina Kundinger from her 6th grade teaching position as presented, and Elizabeth Scott from her 5th grade teaching position as presented.

The Board also approved the retirement of Jane Miller from her 4th grade teaching position as presented and Kathleen Gehrke from her 8th grade teaching position as presented.

The Board also approved the request for a leave of absence from Megan Kadlec as presented and approved the support staff wage matrix as presented.

Finally, the Board approved the bus driver contracts for the 2022-2023 school year as presented, approved the teacher contracts for the 2022-2023 school year as presented, approved the administrator contract for Kory Poeschel for 2022-2024 as presented, approved the administrator contract for Marcy Kunze for 2022-2024 as presented, approved the administrator contract for Craig Anderson for 2022-2024 as presented, and approved the administrator contract for John Gaier for 2022-2024 as presented. The Board also approved the initial adoption of Policy DN as presented.

The Board also heard the Administrators’ Reports.

Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on:
