Pet of the Week: Mark
Wednesday, April 27th, 2022 -- 2:01 PM
Mark is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by Courteous Canine in Black River Falls and Creekside Kennels south of Black River Falls.
Name: Mark
Age: 4-months-old
Breed:
Mark is this week's CCHS Pet of the Week! Mark came to CCHS on a transport from Texas. He is about 4 months old and weighs 27 pounds. Mark is a story of survival. It is believed that he was attacked by a wild animal after being dumped in a ditch in Texas.
His siblings pulled him into a neighboring yard and he was found missing most of his right ear, with several deep bites, cuts and wounds. He had to have been in a tremendous amount of pain. The vets were not sure that he was going to pull through, but he did and he is one happy go lucky puppy.
He spent time getting better with a wildlife rehabber so he's gotten to enjoy life with many other animals, in a positive way. There is still plenty of training yet to do as he is still a puppy. We are happy that Mark was saved and we look forward to finding his new family!
CCHS is proud to be an "Empty The Shelters" participant! On Monday, May 2nd, through Saturday, May 7th, adoption fees will be $0.00 on all adult dogs, cats and kittens (puppies are excluded)!
Regular adoption policies still apply. This event is sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation, and we are very excited to have as many pets as possible find their new furever homes!
You can learn more about, and adopt, Mark, and all the animals at the shelter, at their website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. You can also apply for adoption in person.
