Juvenile Arrested in Connection With the Death of Chippewa Falls Girl

(Raymond Neupert, WRN) Chippewa Falls police say a juvenile male has been taken into custody in connection with the death of Lily Peters.

Chippewa Falls police say a juvenile male has been taken into custody in connection with the death of Lily Peters. That arrest was made Tuesday evening. Police Chief Matthew Kelm couldn't elaborate much further. "The suspect was not a stranger, the suspect was known to the victim."

Chief Kelm says the case is still very active and not a lot of information can be released, but did say the suspect was known to Peters. "While nothing will bring Lily Peters back or change what happened we are very grateful to be able to deliver this news for the family and for the community."

WEAU-TV in Eau Claire reports that police searched a home not far from where Peters went missing on Sunday, but Kelm could not confirm if an arrest was made there. No charges have yet been filed.
