Local FFA Members Selected to Receive $600 Scholarships

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Over two dozen Wisconsin FFA members have been selected to receive $600 scholarships for the 2022 Washington Leadership Conferences held in Washington D.C. this summer.

According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, the funds were donated by the Wisconsin FFA Alumni Association. Some of this year's local recipients include:

• Lizzy Reinart, Granton;
• Ashlee Hamm, Greenwood;
• Carter Grove, Marshfield;
• Jenna Foemmel, Marshfield;
• Sierra Bakke, Owen-Withee;
• Gabrielle Goessl, Owen-Withee;
• And Rachel Boehlke, Thorp.

Each year, FFA members from all over the United States travel to Washington, D.C. to attend the WLC. During the five-day event, attendees learn how to become effective leaders by teaching them to know their purpose, value people, take action, and serve others.
