Wisconsin Failing Families in Regards to College Financial Aid

(Bob Hague, WRN) A new study finds Wisconsin is failing families when it comes to college financial aid.

The nonpartisan Wisconsin Policy Forum found that the Wisconsin Legislature has not prioritized financial aid in recent state budgets. Lawmakers have frozen tuition for the University of Wisconsin System for close to a decade.

But the Policy Forum said that does little to assist families that are most in need of help paying tuition at UW schools, and doesn't help students who attend private colleges or the state's technical and tribal colleges.
