The Highground Museum is currently featuring two fascinating exhibitions.

The Highground is honoring the memory of our fallen men and women with the “Wisconsin Remembers – A Face For Every Name” Vietnam War Memorial, courtesy of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in Madison, and a Memorial Wall dedicated to those lost from Desert Storm to the present day.

Throughout the Museum, visitors will also see several exhibits that create “Stories Within Our Walls”, the personal stories and details behind many of the items in The Highground Museum collection.

These stories range from a display honoring Leo foster, a bugler during WWI; a local Veteran, Herbert Smith, who served with great distinction in the Pacific Theater of WWII; to many personal military items and stories about Trevor Diesing, who was killed in action in 2005 in Iraq.

In addition to the exhibition, The Highground Museum also has information and resources on post-traumatic stress for Veterans and families. New or gently-used clothing, blankets, sleeping bags and hand warmers will continue to be collected year-round in the lower-level of the Museum for distribution to Veterans in need.

This exhibition will be on display at the Museum through June 5, 2022. The Museum is currently open daily from 10am–4pm. For more information about the exhibition, supporters can call Theresa at 715-743-4224 or send an email to [email protected].

Event updates, news and more can be found online at thehighground.us. The Highground is located at W7031 Ridge Rd, Neillsville WI 54456.
