A Thorp woman was sentenced in Clark County Court for zip-tying a puppy’s legs together.

According to court records, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department was looking for the individual responsible for tying the puppy’s legs together. The ties had cut so deep that you could see bone on the puppy’s legs.

Jill Warminski of Thorp was identified as the puppy’s owner and she told authorities she tied the animal's legs because she and her children were unable to take care of the animal.

Warminski was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, misdemeanor animal neglect. The court withheld her sentence and placed Warminski on probation for 12 months.
