Stevens Point Police Eliminate Suspect in Trailer Park Shooting

The Stevens Point Police Department is eliminating a suspect from its investigation of a shooting at a mobile home park. The shooting happened earlier this week on the 1400 block of Torun Rd just after 4:30 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a man that had been shot inside the home.

On Friday, Stevens Point Police alerted residents to be on the look out for Nickolis Hays, 38. They believed he was on the run and dangerous. On Saturday morning, the police department announced an update that Hays has been removed as a suspect. Stevens Point Police said on their Facebook page that “detectives are following up on several new leads in this case.” (WSAW)
