Wisconsin All Milk Price

The Wisconsin all milk price for February was $24.00 per hundredweight, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.

That was 60-cents above last month's price and $6.80 more than the previous February. It was also the highest all milk price since November 2014 when it reached $24.40. The U.S. all milk price for February was $24.70 per cwt., about 70-cents higher than Wisconsin's price and 50-cents more than last month's U.S. price. All the 24 major milk producing states except Texas had a higher price when compared with January. Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $2.25 per pound on March 31, while barrels were $2.20 per pound. The CME butter price was $2.70 per pound.

For the week ending March 26, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $2.15 per pound, and 500-pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $2.05 per pound. The U.S. butter price was $2.74 per pound. (Wisconsin Ag Connection)
