Mall of America Announces the Rebranding of the Log Chute Attraction to the Kenny Loggins Chute

Today, Mall of America, the nation’s largest indoor retail and entertainment destination, announces the rebranding of one of its most beloved attractions, the Log Chute, an exciting water adventure that travels guests through a cavernous mountain ending with a 40-foot drop.

After 30 years, the Log Chute will undergo its first-ever rebrand as the Kenny Loggins Chute. Themed after Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins, the attraction will officially enter the danger zone and take on a whole new look, feel, and sound that is sure to have riders cutting loose and kicking off their Sunday shoes.

“Embarking on a project like this has been a dream come true,” said Chris Grap, Vice President of Experiential for Mall of America. “Kenny Loggins is arguably the most iconic voice of the 80’s soundtrack, and we can’t wait to bring that to the forefront in our newly designed Log Chute. The team at Mall of America is excited to usher in a new era that’s sure to make a splash!”

Officially open to the public on Friday, April 1, one of the most notable changes to the attraction will include new designer outfits for the iconic 27-foot Paul Bunyon and Babe the Blue Ox greeting guests near the end of the ride.

Created by Paul Bunyon’s personal tailor, designer Christopher Straub, the renowned Minnesota figure will now don a new custom fit look, inspired by Kenny Loggins himself, along with his sidekick Babe, who will transform into an 80’s rocker fan.
