Wisconsin Ag Officials Warning People With Backyard Chickens About Bird Flu

(Terry Bell, WRN) Wisconsin agriculture officials are warning people with backyard chickens about bird flu.
The Department of Agriculture says people thinking adding chickens to their backyard flocks this spring should not get them from Jefferson County. A bird flu outbreak there has led to a quarantine, and the destruction of more than two-and-a-half million chickens.
Ag officials are is also recommending people to keep their chickens safe by keeping their surroundings clean and sanitary.
