Monday, April 10th, 2006 -- 9:15 AM
The Neillsville Fire Department was called to a grass fire Sunday afternoon. Fire Chief Matt Meyer says the call came in at 12:45 p.m. The fire was located at W2073 on State Highway 95 south of Neillsville. The crew spent around one hour on the scene and received aid from the Department of Natural Resources. Two acres and three vehicles were consumed. Meyer says hot ashes from a bon fire likely ignited the fire.Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
