Update on Status of Foxconn

(Terry Bell, WRN) For the first time in nearly three years, there’s an update on the status of Foxconn in southeast Wisconsin.

Tuesday night’s special meeting of the Racine County Board and the Mount Pleasant Village Board was the first update since 2019. Officials say the property value of the area now tops 500-million dollars, and there are about 800 Foxconn employees on the payroll in southeast Wisconsin.

It’s not clear exactly what those workers do. Residents were not allowed to speak, but were given a chance to submit written questions in advance. Those questions were not answered. Officials from Foxconn were not there.
