City of Marshfield Selects New Chief of Police

After a nationwide search and multiple interviews, the Marshfield Police Department is proud to announce that Jody Geurink has been selected and officially sworn in as the new Chief of Police for the City of Marshfield Police Department.
Chief Geurink has been with Marshfield for 23 years and 8 months. He has held many different positions within the department with the most recent having been a Lieutenant and has completed thousands of hours of specialized training throughout his law enforcement career.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Police Administration along with a Master’s Degree in Management. Chief Geurink recently spent the past 10 weeks at Quantico and successfully completed the FBI National Academy, which is no easy task.
He has constantly shown outstanding leadership abilities and has gained the respect of many throughout the community. Chief Geurink has taught as a Law Enforcement Academy instructor for many years part time and successfully trained many officers on the road today throughout the state of Wisconsin.
His dedication to the profession and the community is second to none. The Marshfield Police Department is excited to move forward with Chief Geurink and look forward to what the future of the department will be.
