Clark County Board of Supervisors Meeting Recap

The Clark County Board of Supervisors began their meeting with two presentations.
One was a drug presentation and another was regarding renewable energy. One resolution regarding administrative compensation was postponed until the next meeting. The Board approved a resolution regarding a grant application for snowmobile trail maintenance. T
he County would see $112,680 for the trails. The Board also approved a resolution regarding a grant application for the ATV/UTV trail maintenance funding. The County would see $74,650.30 for the trails.
The Board also approved a statewide mutual aid compact for emergency management services. This will allow the county to receive mutual aid from other emergency management agencies around the state.
A couple of resolutions regarding the sale of county land were sent back to committee. The Board also approved an easement with the City of Greenwood for the construction of a water transmission main.
Finally, an ordinance regarding large assemblies, the 2nd reading passed as the ordinance was amended so Chapter 8 was rescinded. So, currently the County does not have a large assembly ordinance for the county.
