(Bob Hague, WRN) A third Wisconsin District Attorney has elected not to file charges against a member of the state Elections Commission.
WisPoltics-dot-com reports Green Lake County DA Gerise LaSpisa said she doesn’t believe there is sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Commissioner Marge Bostelman committed a crime.
Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling called for DAs to press charges against WEC commissioners in their home counties month, for waiving rules related to absentee voting in nursing homes during the 2020 elections.
Prosecutors in Racine and Milwaukee counties have already announced they won’t file charges.
