The man accused of killing his pregnant wife and her unborn child has waived a preliminary hearing.Preliminary hearings are court appearances in which prosecutors must prove there is ?probable cause? the defendant committed the crimes they?re charged with.
Shaun Rudy last week signed a ?Waiver of Preliminary Hearing?. If accepted by Clark County Circuit Court Judge Jon Counsell, the Thorp man will be bound over for trial on charges he shot his wife Christine, who was pregnant, and then dismembered the body to conceal the crime.
Rudy is expected in court for a status and scheduling conference on April 7th.
