Wausau Woman Sentenced for the Death of Two Month-Old Child

(Mike Leischner, WRN) A lengthy prison term  for a Wausau woman, in the death of a two month-old child in her care.

Marissa Tiestort will spend 40 years in prison with credit for three years already served in jail for the 20-18 incident, which also lead to the discovery of another child who had died shortly after being in her care one year prior.

Tuesday's sentence covers both cases, and comes after a deal that saw her enter a no contest plea to a lesser charge of first degree reckless homicide instead of first-degree intentional homicide.

In addition to the prison and probation time she'll also pay restitution and is ordered to have no contact with the families of the victims.
